Study AI

Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Study AI. By creating an account you agree to them, along with the Privacy Policy. Study AI is run by an individual in Ontario, Canada.

What Study AI is

Study AI helps you organize course material: it pulls deadlines out of your syllabi, builds flashcards and quizzes, tracks what to study today, and offers AI study help grounded in your own files. It is a study aid, not a replacement for your school’s official information.

Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old to use Study AI. If you are under the age of majority where you live, please use it with a parent or guardian’s permission. By signing up you confirm that this is true for you.

Your account

  • Use an email address you control and keep your password to yourself.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Give accurate information when it matters, like your real deadlines.
  • If you think someone else has gotten into your account, change your password and tell us through the feedback button in the app.

Your content

You own the files and text you add to Study AI. You keep ownership of them. You give us permission to store them and process them, including with AI, so the service can work for you. That permission is only for running Study AI for you, and it ends when you delete the content.

Only upload material you have the right to share. Your own course files for your own studying are fine. Do not upload other people’s private information.

Copyright and takedowns

Study AI hosts files that users upload for their own studying. We respect copyright, and we respond to takedown requests under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and Canadian law.

If you believe something accessible through Study AI infringes your copyright, send us a notice that includes: your name and contact information, a description of the copyrighted work, a link or other description that lets us find the material, a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized, and a statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and you are authorized to act. Send it by signing in and using the Report a bug / send feedback button in the header, marked as a copyright notice. If you cannot sign in, say so in the notice and include an email address we can reply to.

When we receive a valid notice we will remove or disable access to the material and notify the user who uploaded it. That user may send a counter-notice if they believe the removal was a mistake; if we receive a valid counter-notice we may restore the material unless the original complainant files a court action within the time the DMCA allows.

Accounts of users who repeatedly upload infringing material will be terminated.

AI output can be wrong

Deadlines, flashcards, quizzes, summaries and tutor answers in Study AI are generated by AI. They can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Always check dates, requirements and grades against your official course syllabus and your school’s systems before relying on them. Treat every AI answer as a draft you still have to verify.

Acceptable use

Use Study AI for your own studying. Please do not:

  • Break the law, or upload material you have no right to use.
  • Try to access, probe or copy another user's account, files or data.
  • Overload, attack or try to bypass the security of the service.
  • Use Study AI to cheat where your school forbids it. Your school's academic integrity rules apply to you, not to us, and following them is your responsibility.

Availability and warranty

Study AI is provided “as is”. Features may change, break or be removed, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. We do not promise that it will always work, always be fast, or always be error free.

Liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses caused by using Study AI, including a missed deadline, a wrong grade estimate or lost study material. If we are found liable for something despite this, our total liability is limited to the total amount you paid us for Study AI in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 CAD, whichever is greater. Nothing in these terms limits liability that Ontario or Canadian law does not allow us to limit.

Ending things

You can delete your account at any time in Settings; that removes your files, your study data and your sign-in. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If Study AI itself is ever shut down, we will give reasonable notice on the site so you can save what you need first.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Changes will appear on this page with a new date at the top, and significant changes will be flagged inside the app. Using Study AI after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and of Canada. Disputes will be handled in the courts of Ontario.
